Cannabis is undoubtedly a very fantastic drug. Although it smoked most of the time, I am more of an edible fan. Creating different kinds of edible heightens the cannabis experience.
Moreover, even cannabis smoke isn’t that good for your lungs. Though it isn’t as harmful as tobacco, cannabis smoke also has various known carcinogens that can be harmful. Therefore, I prefer edibles over smoking cannabis.
When it comes to cannabis edibles, cookies are one of my favorites. However, there are a lot more recipes that you can try other than the classic chocolate chip cookies. Classic oatmeal cookies are always a hit, and they are the perfect vessel to add some cannabutter to for a crunchy, sweet, and delicious stress countering snack.
Ingredients:
- Softened butter and cannabutter (1/2 cup each)
- white sugar and brown sugar (1 cup each)
- Two eggs
- vanilla extract (1 tbsp)
- All-purpose flour (2 cups)
- Baking soda, ground cinnamon and salt (1 tsp each)
- Quick-cooking oats( 3 cups)
Directions:
- Combine the ingredients to make a dough and chill for at least an hour
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F, shape the cookies and place them on a greased baking sheet
- Bake for 8 to 10 minutes and let the cookies cool down before digging in
Peanut butter cookies are creamy delicious, and one of my favorites. These sweet and salty cookies go great with some cannabutter. Here is the recipe for these excellent cookies.
Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour (2 and 1/2 cups)
- Baking soda (1 tsp)
- Baking powder and kosher salt (1/2 tsp)
- Softened butter and cannabutter (1/2 cup each)
- white sugar and brown sugar (1 cup each)
- Two large eggs
- Creamy peanut butter (1 and 1/2 cups)
Directions:
- Whisk the dry ingredients in one bowl and beat the butter together along with the sugars in a stand mixer.
- Add the flour mixture into the stand mixer and combine until a cookie dough is formed.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and shape the cookies on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 15 to 18 minutes and cool down before serving,
Here is a recipe for the sweet and tangy cranberry chocolate chip cookies. The flavor compliments the cannabutter and makes for an excellent cannabis treat.
Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour (2 cups)
- Quick-cooking oats (1 cups)
- Softened butter and cannabutter (1/2 cup each)
- Baking powder, baking soda and kosher salt (1 tsp each)
- Brown sugar and granulated sugar (1/2 cup each)
- One large egg
- Vanilla extract (1 tbsp)
- Chocolate chips and dried cranberries (1 and 1/2 cup each)
Directions:
- Start by mixing the butter with the sugar in a stand mixture.
- Add the vanilla extracts and mix the dry ingredients in a separate bowl
- Gradually enter the dry ingredients into the stand mixture and form a dough
- Add the chocolate chips and dried cranberries and mix evenly
- Form the cookies on the parchment-lined baking sheet and place in the oven preheated to 350 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes.
Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour (1 and 1/2 cups)
- Kosher salt (1/2 tsp)
- Softened butter and cannabutter (1/2 cup each)
- Granulated sugar (1 cup)
- One large egg
- Vanilla extract(1 tsp)
Directions:
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour and salt. In a separate bowl beat together butter and sugar until fluffy, using a hand mixture
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, and when combined gradually pour in the dry ingredients
- Make small balls using a cookie scoop and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet
- Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes until the edges are golden.
- All-purpose flour (3 cups)
- Baking soda, Coarse salt (1 tsp each)
- Softened butter and cannabutter (1/2 cup each)
- White sugar and brown sugar (1 cup each)
- Two eggs
- Vanilla extract (1 tbsp)
- Chopped caramels (1 cup)
Directions:
- Mix dry ingredients except for the sugar in a bowl and mix the butter with sugar and vanilla extract in a stand mixer until creamy.
- Add the dry ingredients into the stand mixer gradually and form a cookie dough. Add in half of the caramels chopped thinly.
- Place the dough on a baking sheet and bake in a 350-degree preheated oven.
- As soon as the cookies come out, press in a couple of caramels
Ingredients:
- Softened butter and cannabutter (1 cup each)
- white sugar (1 cup)
- vanilla extract (2 tsp)
- All-purpose flour (4 cups)
Directions:
- Cream the butter, vanilla extract, and sugar until fluffy.
- Add flour and mix well.
- Put through a cookie press and form cookies
- Bake for 10 – 12 minutes in a preheated 350 degrees F oven
Whoopie pies, which cannabis-infused marshmallow filling:
Whoopie pies are a trendy treat, but they aren’t that easy to make. However, here is a recipe that uses marshmallow filling, and can be made easily at home. Use cannabis-infused marshmallows to add a kick on marijuana to the recipe.
Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour (2 and 1/2 cups)
- Unsweetened cocoa powder (5 tbsp)
- Baking powder, baking soda and vanilla extract (1 tsp each)
- Salt (1/2 tsp)
- Softened butter and cannabutter (1/2 cup each)
- Two eggs
- Cannabis-infused marshmallows
Directions:
- Create the cookie batter in a stand mixer by combining the butter with sugar until creamy. Add in the vanilla extract and two egg yolks.
- Mix the remaining dry ingredients in a separate bowl and add them to the stand mixer. Mix until a dough is formed.
- Put the batter on a greased baking sheet and bake in an oven preheated at 350 degrees F for 10 to 15 minutes.
- Sandwich the marshmallows between two cookies to make the perfect dessert.
To end things, here is a recipe for some delicious yet straightforward butter cookies, but instead of using regular butter, you should use cannabutter for a little twist.
Ingredients:
- All-purpose flour (2 and 1/2 cups)
- 1 tsp. kosher salt
- Cannabutter (1 cup)
- Granulated sugar (1/2 cup)
- One large egg and one egg yolk for brushing
- Vanilla extract, or almond extract (optional)
Directions:
- Mix the flour and salt in a medium-sized bowl and beat the butter with sugar until light and fluffy using a stand mixer
- Add in the egg and vanilla extract then gradually add the flour mixture and mix to create a cookie dough
- Shape the cookies and place them on the parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees F for 10 to 12 minutes.
- Let them cool down before serving.
