Cheerios Maple Syrup Balls

These simple cereal balls are full of crunch and sweet maple flavour. Pack these up for an on the go breakfast or snack.

Cheerios Maple Syrup Balls Ingredients

  1. 1 cup (250 mL) Cheerios™ cereal, lightly crushed
  2. 1/2 cup (125 mL) large flake oats
  3. 1/3 cup (75 mL) dried cranberries
  4. 1/4 cup (50 mL) peanut butter
  5. 3 tbsp (45 mL) maple syrup
  6. 3 tbsp (45 mL) honey
  7. 2 tbsp (30 mL) butter
  8. 1/3 cup (75 mL) semi-sweet chocolate chips

Cheerios Maple Syrup Balls Preparing Steps

Using a Medium Bowl, you combine the Cheerios, the dried cranberries and the medium Bowl.

In 1-quart/L saucepan, you cook and stir the peanut butter, maple syrup, honey and butter over a medium-high heat for about 2 to 3 minutes or until everything displays to be thoroughly combined. Remove it from the heat and then pour over the cereal mixture; mix it well. Allow the mixture to cool for 10 minutes and again stir in chocolate chips. Let stand until cool enough to roll into balls.

Shape these into 8 to 10 balls. Place it on a tray and refrigerate this for atleast 20 minutes. Store tightly covered in the refrigerator.
